Emma practises primarily in public law and is instructed by local authorities as well as representing parents, children (by way of their guardian) and other relevant persons. She was recently selected by Staffordshire Local Authority to undertake advocacy work on behalf of the Childcare Legal Department and attended hearings relating to all aspects of child protection, developing a comprehensive understanding of the complexities associated with this area of work.

She has an informal and approachable manner, and regularly represents vulnerable clients, including those with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties.
Emma is a trustee for Staffordshire Women’s Aid, a local charity that provides support to victims of domestic and sexual violence and prior to joining the legal profession had a career in property and planning.
